Dr. Hollis is a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist and a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society who provides advanced arrhythmia care at the Selma Heart Center. He works closely with Selma physicians to expand access to specialized heart rhythm care, bringing the latest technologies, procedures, and treatment options to patients in the region.
Dr. Hollis specializes in cardiac electrophysiology, with clinical interests including atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), ventricular tachycardia (VT), premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), and cardiomyopathies. He is board certified in cardiovascular medicine and clinical cardiac electrophysiology and has extensive experience in advanced procedures such as catheter ablation for arrhythmias, conduction system pacing, leadless pacemakers and defibrillators, and left atrial appendage closure devices including Watchman and Amulet. He also provides comprehensive heart rhythm monitoring and stroke prevention strategies.
Dr. Hollis earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago. He completed his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular medicine fellowship at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, followed by advanced fellowship training in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. His specialized training allows him to deliver highly individualized, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
His approach to patient care begins with listening carefully to each patient’s history, symptoms, and concerns. Dr. Hollis believes patients should feel informed and empowered throughout their care journey, and he takes the time to clearly explain all available treatment options, including the risks, benefits, and alternatives supported by the latest medical evidence. He also emphasizes timely access to testing and procedures, along with consistent follow-up and communication.
As part of Selma Heart Center’s expanding electrophysiology services supported by Inova where Dr. Hollis also maintains active staff privileges, he is helping develop a comprehensive multidisciplinary AFib Clinic designed to bring advanced arrhythmia care and long-term management closer to home for patients in Winchester and the surrounding region.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Hollis is a strong advocate for improving access to healthcare in rural communities and actively engages with state and federal efforts focused on advancing rural healthcare access.
Outside of work, Dr. Hollis enjoys spending time with his family, running, sports, movies, and his involvement with The Firetower Project.
